We are not recruiting him.

Going through my pile of mail that piled up over the holidays, I came upon the "Stories" magazine, which is dedicated to the School of Agriculture and Life Sciences. The most recent issue focuses on G.W. Carver and the legacy he left at Iowa State.

A number of articles relating to Carver, including one about Henry Wallace whose father taught at Iowa State. As a ten year old, Wallace used to visit Carver doing research which sparked his interest in plants. He later founded Pioneer Seeds and became Secretary of Agriculture and Vice President.

Interesting reading, and includes stories relating Carver's legacy to current students.I'm not sure if this is available online, but it makes one proud of my own background with Iowa State and my grandfather who graduated with an Ag degree in the early 1900's.
