Blazers won the Conference USA tournament to qualify. UAB was 19-15 overall and 12-6 in conference, tying for fourth in the final C-USA standings. But get this: all six of UAB's conference losses were by four points or less or in OT. The Blazers were awfully close to having a much better record. UAB went 0-5 against high major opponents, all good to great teams: Wisconsin, Florida, UCLA, LSU and UNC.
