Iowa State is hosting the first of three "Saturday Night Lights" camps this weekend in Ames.
This is a departure from the Rhoads era camps in two ways. One, it's SNL instead of FNL (Friday Night Lights) and, two, it is padded. Campers will be wearing half-packs (a.k.a. shells) with shoulder pads and helmets and there will be "thud" contact (above the waist, don't go to the ground).
A few guys with Iowa State offers in the Rivals database have indicated they will be at tomorrow evening's camp. They are:
Trevor Downing, 2018 OL, Creston (Iowa)
Charles Peeler, 2017 WR, Washington (DC) Woodson (not sure on validity of offer claim)
David Porter, 2017 DE, Little Rock (Ark.)
Zach Ross, 2018 OL, West Des Moines (Iowa) Dowling
And here are some other notable prospects that could work their way into offers with an impressive showing in front of the Cyclone coaching staff:
