Iowa State ended up having a pretty big unofficial visit day on Saturday, allowing prospects to watch their first bona fide scrimmage of the spring. The biggest news coming out of it, of course, was the verbal commitment from offensive lineman Colin Newell. On that note, I am working on a school visit to Ames High to get together with Newell and Coach Bruce Vertanen soon.
