The ball was at the ISU 42 on 4th down. That would be roughly a 59-60 yard field goal attempt. they went for it instead. Did their kicker not really have the leg for that attempt? Was the wind bad? And looking at the replay, the player was definitely short and was getting a bear hug from his own teammate, who then literally lifts and pulls him forward at least a yard. So if there is a rule about lifting or pulling a ball carrier forward, he was definitely doing that. Maybe OSU should have argued for the penalty on their own team, and then try it again from 4th and 5?
Question no one talks about from the OSU game, why did they not go for the field goal?
