I've been helping out a family member on the settlement of an estate in northern Iowa that includes a fair amount of farmland. I'm not an expert per se on this, but more well versed than them. Anyway, I just learned about this proposed carbon pipeline that potentially would run through Iowa/Minnesota/Dakotas and some of the challenges or pushback from utilizing emminent domain to capture this land. I have read as much as I could on this, and the map that I saw did show at least in the area, the proposed pipeline is in the vicinity of the land in question.
Is there anyone out here on CycloneReport that has a good understanding and could dummy it down for me what is going on, and where this potentially will land? I think their preference at this time would be to inhertit the land and cash rent it, but if this whole pipeline and emminent domain is a real possibility, they may just say hell with it and sell it right now to not have to deal with the hassle later.
Thanks. Go State!!!
