If we were 17-8 this late in the season, do you think we would still be ranked in the top 25? I pose this question because I see there are three teams in the rankings this week with that very record. They all three, by happy "coincidence" happen to be blue bloods, Kentucky, Kansas and Arizona.
I really expected KU to drop out of the rankings this week after their latest loss, but there they are, sitting at 23. It probably won't matter in the long run, because they have the potential to lose at least four more games (at BYU, Texas Tech, at Houston, Arizona and might even have trouble at Colorado) before the regular season is over and if that happens, they will drop out of the rankings for the first time in who knows how long. I just think it should have happened sooner after they lost to a mediocre Utah team on the road.
If you've lost 8 games already, I don't think you deserve to be ranked, but that's just my opinion.
