Why does the coaching staff want to take away his greatest asset which is improvising and making plays with his legs??? Keeping him in the pocket basically turns him into Noland, whom he beat out by using his running skills. He is not a pocket passer and we don’t need a pocket passer. He’s shorter than the average QB and probably can see better when he’s on the move. What happened to multiplicity??? Lately this staffs’ decisions are suspect. “Hey, let’s take something that has been successful and just toss it in the trash!!!” Purdy is an RPO QB. Yes we want to limit his hits but it is what it is. I’m not sure he can be effective by staying in the pocket anyway.
