WORTH NOTING
1. Iowa State continues a difficult stretch to end January...the Cyclones are in the midst of a stretch that sees them playing five of its final six games of the month against nationally-ranked teams, including two against the nation's No. 1 team in Baylor.
2. The Cyclones are 3-8 all-time against teams ranked No. 16, with a win earlier this season over then 16th-ranked Seton Hall.
3. Steve Prohm owns five road wins against the AP Top-25 in his Cyclone tenure, the most by any coach in school history...since 2015-16, ISU is one of 10 teams nationally with five road wins against ranked teams.
4. Rasir Bolton is Iowa State's leading scorer in Big 12 play, averaging 14.8 points...in his last five games, Bolton has hit 44 percent of his threes (11-25).
5. Tyrese Haliburton needs just two assists to enter Iowa State's career top-20...he enters Saturday's game with 250 career dimes and is one of just three true sophomores nationally with 250 career assists and 90 career steals...the others are Tre Jones (Duke) and Ashton Hagans (Kentucky).

LAST TIME OUT - CYCLONE TRIO LEADS WAY IN BIG 12 WIN
• Solomon Young had a career-high 27 points, making 7-of-8 field goals and 13-of-15 free throws, and also finished with nine rebounds and a pair of blocks to lead the Cyclones along with Bolton (21) and Haliburton (20)...ISU won 89-82, scoring 52 second-half points.
• Haliburton (6-9) and Bolton (4-6) combined to go 10-for-15 behind the arc...Tre Jackson hit ISU's only other three-pointer as the Cyclones went 11-for-24 behind the arc in the game.
• ISU had three players score 20 or more points in the same game for the first time since Feb. 4, 2017, a road win at Kansas.
• The Cyclones have won 13 of the last 15 in the series against Oklahoma State.
• ISU improved to 9-0 when outshooting its opponent, 5-0 when shooting 50 percent or better from the field and 5-2 when scoring 80 points or more.
• ISU owned a 39-30 edge on the glass, outrebounding its opponent for the third time in the last four games...ISU was 28-for-33 at the line against the Cowboys, a season-high for made free throws.

IOWA STATE-AUBURN STATE SERIES NOTES
• Iowa State and Auburn will meet for the fourth time in series history...the Cyclones own a 2-1 edge against the Tigers, with the last meeting coming in December of 2013 as the first season of the Big 12/SEC Challenge...the Cyclones won that game at Hilton Coliseum, 99-70.
• ISU and Auburn also met in the second round of the 2000 NCAA Tournament at Metrodome in Minneapolis...ISU won that meeting, 79-60, behind 22 points from Marcus Fizer and 21 points from Stevie Johnson...Auburn led by one at the half of the game, but the Cyclones outscored them 47-27 in the second half to advance to the Sweet 16.
• Steve Prohm is 1-1 all-time against Auburn, with both meetings coming when he was coaching at Murray State...he has never coached against a Bruce Pearl.
• ISU is 111-178 against teams currently in the SEC...the Cyclones defeated Alabama, 104-89, earlier this season at the Battle 4 Atlantis.

IOWA STATE ALL-TIME IN CHALLENGES
• Iowa State is 6-5 all-time in challenges, including 3-3 in the Big 12/SEC Challenge...last season, ISU went on the road and defeated Ole Miss, 87-73, in a top-25 showdown.
• This marks the fourth time in five seasons under Steve Prohm that Iowa State has played the Big 12/SEC Challenge on the road...the Cyclones are 1-3 in the challenge under his direction...in three of the previous four seasons, ISU has faced a ranked foe in the challenge.
• ISU's all-time challenge records: Big 12/BIG EAST Battle - 1-0 (1-0 vs. Seton Hall); Big 12/Pac 12 Challenge - 2-2 (2-0 vs. Oregon State; 0-2 vs. Cal); Big 12/SEC Challenge - 3-3 (1-0 vs. Auburn, Arkansas & Ole Miss; 0-1 vs. Texas A&M, Vanderbilt and Tennessee).

ON DECK: NO. 1 BAYLOR VISITS HILTON COLISEUM
• Iowa State hosts No. 1 Baylor at Hilton Coliseum on Wednesday...if Baylor remains No. 1, it will be ISU's first time hosting a No. 1 team since beating top-ranked Oklahoma on Jan. 18, 2016.
