Iowa State commit
Back in the summer, Iowa State landed a commitment out of Pedersen and we had no info of note. A small town Iowa kid that came from way off the radar, he had no rating and no interest to speak of. As we’ve investigated on Pedersen, he looks like a steal for the Cyclones. He’s been clocked in the 4.6 range at 6-3+, he’s got a 21-plus long jump, a basketball background, plays quarterback for his high school and has significant mult-position background. As a projection to linebacker, Pedersen has the verified length, athleticism and diverse background that makes him a really likely bet to be of rare value in the college game. Because we are unlikely to learn much more about Pedersen from senior film given his limited competition level, we felt there was no need to hold off on making Pedersen a four-star prospect outside the Top247.
