Anybody that thinks these tournament games don't matter isn't paying attention. I'm at a spring training game and I lost count long ago of how many people stopped me or commented about our team and our game. One guy knew every player and where they were from and he is a native Floridian. He asked me how every year we're so good. My t-shirt has drawn so many comments like "great game","your team is so much fun to watch", " I think you guys can win it all", etc.
Point is every game we play on national TV is important to our brand. People know who we are and are excited to talk about our team/school. Pretty cool. As I was typing this, a guy came up to me and wanted to talk about "that great coach of yours".
