I do not follow softball much but was watching a good bit of the UCLA/Washington game. My question is this. Is the strike zone normally that generous, or is it just a quirk of this umpire?
Washington had 2 on with 1 out in the 6th and the next left handed batter fell behind 0-2 on pitches nowhere near the plate. They made Greg Maddux calls look tight.
