I posted this on Psyclone's OT thread but it wasn't getting responses so thought I'd give this a try.
On my home laptop, every time i open it up I get a string of pop-ups. They are like news headlines that you can click "close" or select for the full story. They've been there since the day I got the laptop so it isn't from an app I installed. But I open my laptop and a pop-up comes up on the lower right corner. I hit "close" and another pops up until I close them all. The longer I go without using this laptop (which can be weeks - I use my work laptop a lot) the more there are.
I have googled it and found nothing. But not sure what to call it so it may be my search is wrong. News Pop ups at start-up (among many others) gets me nada. Any thoughts as to how to get rid of these?
