OK, all you grill experts, my old gas grill is giving up. I love to grill and had a really expensive backyard kitchen style grill which I loved at my prior house - extra roomy surface. When we downsized, I went cheap and small and got a Dyna Glo because of its diminutive size. Well cheap does not pay off. It is dying with the inside deflectors rusting/burning out after only 3 seasons.
I am considering a Traeger Pellet smoker grill. My wife is worried that everything will taste smoked, and she wonders if a steak can be seared. We are foodies at my house after both of us have been in the food business (not restaurant) for many years. What experiences with Traegers have any of you had? Do you like and recommend them?
The one at Costco looks pretty sweet and there are a lot of choices on the Traeger website.
TIA...
