Some of you may have known Stan Stolte, formerly of Lowden who graduated from Clarence-Lowden High School in the late 1970s. He comes from a real baseball family. His dad was the manager of the Lowden Indees town team for around 50 years, and his brother Shawn pitched for Iowa State in the 1980s.
Stan was recently named head baseball coach for the UNLV Runnin' Rebels. Quite a move up from small-town Iowa baseball. Great guy.
