/Just some facts from today 4/17/2020 about COVID-19 in Iowa.
Of 99 counties in Iowa, 81 counties have 0 cases !
Of 99 counties, only 8 counties have more than 1 death. Well over 80 counties have no deaths!
Of the 60 total deaths, 22 are from Linn County. And all of them are from one nursing home! That is more than 1/3 of all deaths in Iowa!
Polk County is the only other county in double digits, a total of 10.
Linn county is half the population and yet has more than twice the deaths of Polk county.
So, think of this when you here the news daily, a nursing home in Cedar Rapids is completely driving the statistics in this state. I suspect this is true in much of the country.
At what point do we decide that the cure is worse than the virus?
Do people realize that virtually every hospital is going to go bankrupt in this country becsue of what we are dong? I expect that many small rural hospitals in Iowa are not going to survive. All becasue of the mandated shutdown being forced upon them by the government.
