This was the year the Razorbacks were FINALLY going back to the NCAA tourney in year 6 under Mike Anderson, at least that's what all the talking radio heads and delusional fans were saying. They've gone dancing only once under Anderson and that's the year we blew them out of our gym when they had an NBA lottery pick at center in Bobby Portis.
Their first big test came tonight against a pretty pedestrian Minnesota team whose own coach is on the hot seat and they failed it miserably. Minnesota was up 20 in the first half and the Hogs had to hit a 3 at the buzzer to make it a 17-point halftime lead. They wound up losing 85-71. They won the second half, so they got that going for them.
You all say Iowa fans are delusional and rightly so, but Arkansas fans are twice as delusional. They remind me a lot of Iowa fans on steroids.
The Hogs could improve, I guess, and still go to the tourney but a double digit loss to what I suspect will eventually be a .500 ball club is not going to look good to the selection committee.
