We have been at Iowa State for orientation the past two days with our daughter who will be a freshman at Iowa State this fall. This will be the second of our three kids to attend our beloved university. Our kids represent the fourth generation of cyclones in our family.
While we have been in and around Iowa state for a long time, I must say Iowa State just keeps impressing. The people, programs, facilities, and campus are all really special. It almost makes the $37,000 out of state price tag palatable. Almost.
Now that we will be empty nesters and our three sport all conference daughter is off to Iowa State we will be spending more time in Ames attending cyclone games. Heck we may even start to look at condos in Ames since we like it so much there. My wife is as big a Cyclone fan as I am.
It is amazing to me the memories that came back as we walked around campus. Life is good.
