SMU has hired the current president at the University of Texas as its new president. They just announced a search for a new athletic director. They are committed to being a national brand in football and are more than willing to spend the money to succeed. Everything they did that got their program cancelled in the 1980's is now legal. They will spend the money, whatever it takes.
