Sat 30 rows up at mid court. I almost (repeat, "almost") felt bad for the state of Iowa basketball. Their fan base is dead. Fran has killed the fan base. One, there was red everywhere in the arena. I would guess at 1500-2000 ISU fans. ISU fans around me at half court. There were probably at least 2,000 empty seats. Both Ends of the arena were completely empty for the top 20 rows, they were never sold. But lots of empty seats all around the arena. Considering this is their Superbowl in basketball, the attendance by them was god awful.
ISU fans in 2 years, we need to make it a point to buy up all the tickets possible down in CHA. We literally could have put 5,000 Cyclone fans in that dump, that is how empty it was last night. 5,000 vocal cyclone fans in that place could turn it to our advantage in a huge way.
