Along the lines of talking about possible Prohm replacements, anyone ever wonder why Hoiberg didn't decide to keep Nick Nurse on staff after McDermott had just hired him, prior to accepting Creighton job? ISU paid Nick Nurse like $100K for nothing really right? Imagine if Hoiberg keeps Nick Nurse as a top assistant and Nurse could have replaced Hoiberg. Where would our basketball program be right now? Nurse is obviously a great offensive mind and I think would have been a great addition to Hoiberg's staff. Hard not to wonder what if. Now Nurse is NBA coach of the year. Maybe he had NBA aspirations all along and would have left ISU for another job too.
