I've been looking toward next year as the year we might really make some noise. Am I overly optimistic?
Long, Niang, McKay, Morris, Thomas and Nader make a pretty damned good team all by themselves. Based on Cooke's year at OSU, he looks like a solid backup at either guard spot. The two newbie forwards are unknown quantities. If one of them turns out to be in Hogue's league, we could be awfully tough.
Assuming we can keep our heads out of our hawkeyes next year, which I think was a problem this season on several occasions.
