BASKETBALL NCAA Announces Thursday Open Practice Schedule at Fiserv Forum

MILWAUKEE – The open practice times for all eight teams competing in the first round of the 2022 NCAA® Division I Men’s Basketball Championship at Fiserv Forum are set and will take place on Thursday, March 17.

Practice sessions will run throughout the day from 11 a.m. to 6:20 p.m. and are free and open to the public. Doors open at 10 a.m. and each team will have 40 minutes to practice.

11 – 11:40 a.m.: Yale
11:45 a.m. – 12:25 p.m.: Virginia Tech
12:30 – 1:10 p.m.: Purdue
1:15 – 1:55 p.m.: Texas
3:25 – 4:05 p.m.: LSU
4:10 – 4:50 p.m.: Wisconsin
4:55 – 5:35 p.m.: Iowa State
5:40 – 6:20 p.m.: Colgate

“We’re delighted to welcome the 2022 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship to Fiserv Forum,” said Peter Feigin, President of the Milwaukee Bucks and Fiserv Forum. “While we anticipate two days of exciting basketball games, we are also thrilled for the community to experience the free open practice sessions that will tip-off March Madness in Milwaukee.”

“There’s nothing better than the excitement and passion March Madness provides to fans around the country, and we’re privileged to play host again this year in Milwaukee,” said Marquette University Vice President and Athletics Director Bill Scholl. “We are excited to welcome eight great institutions to Milwaukee and hope to provide an enriching experience for all student-athletes and fans in attendance. Fiserv Forum is a tremendous venue and we are excited to be partnering with them as they host NCAA tournament games for the first time in the building.”

There is no ticket required to attend the open practice sessions, and fans can come at any time. Parking is available at parking structures on N 5th Street and Highland Street for $5 a vehicle.

The tournament games in Milwaukee are set for Friday, March 18 and Sunday, March 20. Friday’s Session I games will feature Purdue vs. Yale at 1 p.m. Central time, followed by Texas vs. Virginia Tech at approximately 3:30 p.m. CT. In Session II, LSU will face off against Iowa State at 6:20 p.m. CT, with Wisconsin vs. Colgate at about 8:50 p.m. CT to close out the day.

Sunday game times will be announced following Friday’s NCAA games.
