We were watching the UT replay tonite on the non buffering at the time CyclonesTV. My wife asked me this...(well not to this detail, but this is the point)
If ISU had not moved after Texas went offsides on the field goal attempt, so the refs let the play go, and if the kick had been good, would you take the points off the board and take the first down?
Of course this is a moot point, but play pretend on that. If you take the points, you would be kicking off to Texas with a narrow lead, with 2 minutes to go (and no Texas timeouts).
That's a tough one to me. Based on the end of the 1st half, I have no confidence that the D would be able to stop Texas from driving down and getting a FG. But man, I would sure hate taking a lead off the board that late in the game.
So my vote would be no, but totally ok with it earlier in the game. What say you?
