I know I've brought this series up before on here and I finally finished all the seasons of Monk, but I was just doing some digging on the show and ran across a remarkable (to me) fact that the guy who played Capt. Stottlemeyer on the show is also the same guy who played the villain Jame Gumb on Silence of the Lambs, the guy who is making the suit of women's skin and does the transexual dance in front of the mirror. I never made the connection before because he is considerably older in Monk and has a mustache that alters his looks and it's a comedy role to boot to further throw me off.
