how is it that with CFH aka Coach Dreamy so many kids evidently base destinations on who the recruiting coach is for them?
I'm not slamming Fred...just the opposite. I would think the HC would be the big motivator for where you go...maybe a position coach like Danny Manning was at KU I could see...but a recruiting specialist that is on the road 70% of the time? I just don't understand how we're hearing about all these 'lost interest'. I can understand 'picked up interest' due to relationships with recruiting coaches...BUT at the end of the day the closer is the HC? If the recruiting coach has got them interested and in the door and in front of the man...then shouldn't the HC really be running that relationship with the player / program once it's determined this is a guy we want?
Or are the HC's that insulated from recruitment?
