Since there's been discussion on recruiting Iowa kids I thought I'd throw Matt's name in the ring. My kids go to Sgt Bluff so I've seen him play many times. He's listed at 6'1" 180 pounds. He's fast and tough. First guy never brings him down. Like Mike Warren his legs never stop moving. There are some faster and maybe bigger but not many are better runners. From the SC Journal:
SB-L’s Matt George, piling up over 2,000 yards rushing despite limited duty in two games while also sitting out a pair, led the way for an explosive offense that triggered a run to Iowa’s Class 3A playoff semifinals.
The 6-1, 180-pounder followed up 2,233 yards as a junior with 2,384 this fall after a phenomenal postseason showing in which he carried 112 times for 1,260 yards in four games. Only 11 Iowa preps had previously managed consecutive 2,000-yard campaigns.
He is keeping his recruiting close to the vest but I did hear he has interest in ISU. Kid could play somewhere for sure. He has a motor. They didn't play him on defense last year to keep him fresh. They should have since when he's on the sideline he's constant motion.
