Just visited Okoboji for the first time this summer and really like it....unfortunately, as most of you know, its very expensive and pretty much out of our price range.
Really think that I'll like the lake living and know that we'll have to pay for that, but there has to be some hidden gems in Iowa on the water that are at least marginally less expensive. What/where are some of these places?
I have a few years to retirement but really want to start a game plan now to see if its even feasible...
