Just got done reading the KSU game thread and there was a raging debate going on about whether we're just more talented than them, or if it's bad scheme and coaching on their end. A lot of them seem to think their coach's scheme sucks and there was a lot of complaining about them taking the play clock down to between 5 and 7 seconds every play when they were three scores behind.
There are some that disagree that ISU is just more talented, but some who think that is indeed the case. One even called the RB position a push (LOL) but he was in the minority. Also saw a lot of guys calling the QB position a push, "especially with Skyler battling an injury."
Lot of ignorant fans too. One called Purdy a "purely drop-back passer" and lamented that they couldn't get any pressure on him, but then called the O-lines a push. Another said we only have one RB while they have two. Well ...
The only positions where they pretty unanimously thought ISU was definitely better was LB and TE. Their DBs only created 3 incomplete passes all game and they wondered if anyone had ever NOT completed a pass against them, yet they called the DBs a push. They mostly blamed the DBs' lack of success on a poor pass rush. They may have given us a slight edge elsewhere (like D-line, but only because they had injuries there) but mostly, they called the match-ups a push or in rare cases like KR, called it for KSU.
