This may be off topic, but the Richard O Jacobson foundation just gave $70 Mil to build another hospital on the other side of kinnick stadium. Not sure how they fit it in there, but they have a plan. Now I find out he's an Iowa alumnus and has given $86 Mil to the university, I assume that includes the current gift. My question is... how did we wind up with a Jacobson building at ISU? Even if it is the least fitting building in the Iowa State Center, it's not chump change. What was the back story?
