I have brought this up before, but I want to throw it out again in light of the Jack Trice story slowly becoming more known nationally. The Fiesta Bowl announcers even mentioned that it is featured prominently in ISU's football culture.
I would love to see an ISU cheer where one side yells "I" and the other side yells "WILL," like the Cyclone Power cheer.
On many levels it is a winner. It is uniquely Iowa State. It is truly inspiring and meaningful to the players, fans, (recruits), and the world. The announcers would likely need to explain it to the viewers, thereby further spreading the story and maybe stimulating some viewers to look it up. I think, personally, if 61,500 people were yelling, "I WILL!" I think I would choke-up and run through the nearest wall.
I am still waiting for a movie-type to latch on to this and make our, "Rudy." (But better and more important)
