And I actually charted the possessions, offensive and defensive. This was nuts, arguably as close to a perfect 5 minutes of basketball you will ever see, especially the final 5 minutes of a key road conference game. Here you go:

Down 58-57, 5:30 to play, here are the final 10 offensive possessions:

1. Jefferson to Watson made 2 (dunk)
2. Jefferson to Gilbert made 3
3. Gilbert draws foul (2-2 FTs)
4. Gilbert short jumper made 2
5. Gilbert fouled (intentional) and Cujo goes 2-2 FTS....get ball back, Jefferson with a turnover
6. Lipsey to Jefferson made 2
7. Watson fouled (1-2 FTs)
8. Keshon turnover
9. Cujo fouled (2-2 FTs)
10. Cujo made 3

Summary: 3 assists, 2 turnovers (only bad stat, still 1.5 assist/turnover ratio), 5-5 from field, 2-2 from behind the arc, 7-8 FTs, an insane 1.90 points per possession

Here are the 10 defensive possessions:

1. Stop - Jefferson rebound
2. Stop - Gilbert steal
3. Stop - Jefferson rebound
4. Stop - Jefferson steal
5. ASU hits a miracle 3 after the Jefferson turnover
6. Stop - Lipsey steal
7. Stop - Watson rebound
8. Stop - Jefferson steal
9. Stop - Gilbert rebound
10. Stop - Cujo rebound

Summary: ASU shoots 1-6 from the floor, we get 4 steals, we commit ZERO fouls, and we hold them to 0.30 points per possession.

We all know the last 5 minutes were great....but when you see it laid out like this, it is even more impressive. What a finish.

That is (hopefully!) championship DNA.
