I hate to start this discussion, but there has to be a limit to how far we sit back and allow that monster to go. It looks more and more like Hitler in the late 1930s and 40s. He used gas, Putin is using bombs. Do we have to see starved children being buried in pits before we say "enough" to Putin. What use is it to develop the most formidable military in the world and then declare we won't use it in fear of starting a war that is actually already going on? Not sure I can answer this question myself, but I find myself leaning more and more to the position "to hell with the consequences, we have to hang that bastard".
How far do we allow Putin to go--
