Today the Glenwood girls XC team came into the State qualifying meet at LeMars ranked 13th in Iowa in class 3A. They went out and ran well, and beat the #10 ranked and #7 ranked teams this afternoon to place first, and earn the automatic bid to the State meet next week at Fort Dodge. Glenwood girls had 5 runners place in the top 20 today. Sorry for the brag, but my daughter is their head coach. One funny coincidence to this story: 10 years ago today, my daughter, as a HS freshman for Harlan, punched her ticket to the 2011 State meet by finishing 6th at the state qualifying meet at Atlantic. Time flies.
