NW Iowa got hammered Thursday and Friday into Saturday morning. Rock Valley is pretty much cut off and they are pulling people out of homes in boats. South Spencer is flooded and the Facebook videos of Arnold's Park ar unbelievable.

We missed the heavy stuff by 20 miles but the Des Moines River East Fork watershed got up to 6 inches in spots and the river has gone crazy here. I have never seen summer flooding like this. Spring, after a big snow melt, yes. Things had pretty much dried out last week, but we are floating boats again up here in the flatlands.

My sump pump attest to a full ground table. When it finally shuts off, it probably won't rain for weeks. Nothing is normal anymore. More rain forecast for Tuesday, but only a 40% chance, whatever that means.
