One day before it was to take affect, a Federal Court has issued a stay on the order that would allow universities to pay athletes up to &5,000 per year.
The three-judge panel wrote:
"Without expressing a view as to either party's likelihood of success on the merits, the court grants a stay of the district court's injunction in this case, dated August 8, 2014, to preserve the status quo until this court's mandate has issued."
Looks like no cash payments until NCAA's appeal has run it's course.
This is big news for the day. Good news as far as I'm concerned.
