Here is where I believe the program is at as of today, not that my opinion matters but....

We have the talent to compete, that is evident. I like that the staff has figured out that we are a school that has to recruit the JUCO level to be competitive year in and year out. They did a great job of putting together the JUCO group last year and it is encouraging to see that we are targeting many more this year.

The assistant coaches appear to be competent and able to relate to the players to get the most out of them. For the most part we don't have a lot of player errors, minus fumbles, the team seems to "keep their cool" throughout the game and continue to work hard.

The fan base is incredible. For what we have been through and how this year panned out we continue to show that we have the best fan base in america. There are a lot of top programs out there that would love to have the loyal fan base that this program does.

Head coaching. This is where we fall short. The decisions that CPR is making are first year coaching mistakes, not year seven mistakes. The passion that he has is second to none but that only gets you so far, see year 1-3. There is parity in every college sport due to the amount of kids that are starting at a young age and coaching is what will separate you when teams are evenly matched. CPR can't make the right decision in a short amount of time with the pressure of the game on the line. He is a prime example of a good assistant that doesn't make a good head coach. Any of us in the professional world see this happen many times. Take a good employee, make them a manger, and they just can't take that step.

It's unfortunate because CPR has the heart and passion for this program but it is time to make a change and we have to do it now.
