1. We have fair caught every punt this year and most of last year also. So, why even block with wideouts on the last punt, all they can do is be near our returner as he fair catches the ball. Only bad things can happen by blocking them, holding or, the worst case scenario, a fumble

That’s on the coaches. Players have to be told right before the punt what to do.

2. Third and 10 plus yards . For years now, our % of giving up conversions is one of the worst in the country. We consistently rush only 3 guys. We get them into these situations by playing aggressive, bringing 4-5 guys successfully. Then, on third down we do the opposite, like clock work.

Why not continue to do what has worked until we are beat consistently? Force the Qb into a quick decision, have the shorter routes covered well, dare them to throw deep. Sure, once in awhile we will get beat deep, but I guarantee teams won’t be converting third and 15-20 fifty percent of the time

3. The piece done by the alum on GameDay was terrible. Did Jamie get to sign off on that? The whole “we aren’t as good as Iowa but you have to like us because we work hard” was crap. What a terrible message sent to the entire county. Just terrible

4. Tight end is our most talented position on offense but not used nearly enough. Nothing bad ever happens when they are thrown to. We need to target them a lot.

4. Down and out patterns. If we never ran another I would be ecstatic. The production we get from those routes is terrible. Great play on 4th down at end of game to call.
