Both the Big 12 and ACC should have been proactive and already hitched their wagons together to form a new conference. Right now the SEC and Big 10 are in control, and keeping the other two conferences separate plays right into their hands. With Commissioners making millions of dollars and having big egos, it's tough to get anywhere in merger talks. But the sooner it happens, the better the chance to have a seat at the table. The victim mentality will not get either conference anywhere. And adding WSU and OSU would strengthen the position.
