I got to thinking that when a recruit is shown Jack Trice when empty, it must rank right up there with the best.
First you have one of the best field and its natural grass. Then you have the two massive video boards that will be showing whatever they show to recruits. Add in the ribbon displays, SEZ and Jack Trice Club and it is a pretty special looking place. The nearby facilities are also a boost.
The only downside is the unimpressive press box and some aspects of the view externally. The view from the south will be great. And from the north it is okay. From the east it's not bad, but the raw underside of the stands isn't as good as those with brick or stone facades.
Overall I think it is pretty impressive. How do you think it compares with other stadiums when empty?
