Since this Coronavirus is giving us more time to dabble in things we normally don't, I read Randy Pete's article on BB transfers this morning. Here is his list:
Grad Transfers:
Darius Perry, Louisville, PG
Jordan Bruner, Yale, PF
Tahj Eaddy, Santa Clara, PG
Bryce Aiken, Harvard, PG
Brandon Barry, Dartmouth, PG
JUCO Transfers:
Russel Harrison, Clarendon College, SF
Keon Ellis, Florida Southwestern, SG
Justice Hill, Salt Lake, PG
Sit-out Transfers:
Jamarius Burton, Wichita State, SG
D.J. Carton, Ohio State PG
Most of these guys look like they would be good gets. IMO, it's going to be hard for CSP to attract a sit-out guy because of the uncertainty with his job. Even a Juco guy will likely think twice about committing based on that uncertainty. Grad Transfers are looking to start, play a lot, and be able to showcase their stuff. We can offer that in spades.
There are 4 PG's on the grad transfer list and one PF. It would be nice to see some other positions get added to that list to give distribution across positions. We'll see where all this goes, but if Steve can land at least three top level guys who can start and play right away, there's a chance that next season could be a decent step up from this one.
Thoughts?
