Basketball Transfer?

CF is reporting that Merril Holden, Grad Transfer from La Tech, has committed to ISU and signed a financial aid agreement.

I am going to assume that means the Malou and/or Lard won't qualify. Any basketball gurus with more knowledge or a more informed guestimate?
