BASKETBALL RECRUITING: PF Young Contacts Coaches, Commits

I just got off the phone with Sacramento (Calif.) HS power forward Solomon Young, who gave the Iowa State coaches his verbal commitment in a phone call this evening. The 6-foot-7, 230-pound Young had taken his official visit to Ames over the weekend. Although the Cyclones just picked up his recruiting trail in June, Young said he had been offered by TJ Otzelberger and Washington prior to the assistant coach heading to Iowa State. I'll have more in a story here shortly.
