I've had a Wineguard for probably going on 10 years, connected to a Directv non HD receiver. Each year (2 years this year), I test it out and Directv has to send a new signal down to reactivate my receiver to reactivate it, no big deal. I got all this tested out last weekend and all was working perfectly.
When I get to Ames today, I couldn't pull any local channels, which I didn't test out when I did the test last weekend, I live in Johnston. I get all non-local channels just fine. I need to hook it up tomorrow to see if I get locals here at home, Surely it can't be a Johnston vs Ames location thing could it? Or could my Wineguard just be too old that for some reason it doesn't pull locals anymore? Or a Directv thing?
I probably just need to test it out and if it doesn't work, call DirecTv tomorrow, but just wondering if anyone has experienced this or have some thoughts.
