Yes, I know about Tip Top. But are there any other businesses that open early enough to support an indoor tailgate should the rain make it miserable? What we need is an entertainment district that knows when to open and can handle a crowd. 
I have to admit that I have gotten soft with the Jack Trice Club opening at 9:30 am. But my friends still want to tailgate and they do it behind my car and with my table, grill, generator. and heater. So it's hard to bail out without affecting them. They bring the tents, but they come from Cedar Rapids, so they aren't always there very early. I love to tailgate when the weather is nice, but the rain and the early kickoff kind of puts a damper on things.
