Positives:

1. Chase Allen had his best day as a Cyclone tight end. Made tough catches and was really good in all facets.
2. Jared Russ does a really nice job blocking in the box. He cut their hyped safety in the box and you could tell it hurt the guy. Flipped him completely over hard.
3. Breece Hall ran so hard. Pretty obvious live too but man...that guy was a freight train Saturday.
4. Shaw looked healthy at receiver. Ran well off the line. Didn't have any target though.
5. Defense was incredible in second half. There were a lot of guys making plays there. Eisworth showed up more on the replay than I remember. Looked good tackling in the second half.

Negatives
1. Purdy just can't bail on plays. There were several times he was not pressured and just gave up on the play or dump down.
2. With Baylor blitzing all day those dump downs should have gone big multiple times. Purdy didn't look for them or wait for them. One time Hall just stopped in front of backer when he could have cut to either side and been wide open. Purdy was actually looking that time.
3. Two series before the last both should have been TD scoring drives. Purdy bailed early again on one and the other had the ball tipped and intercepted. Not sure why he threw the ball that low as kolar was open down the sideline deep and that should have been his target. Maybe the angle just made it look odd for the TV viewer.

Every OC should have a special play call sheet to get you 4th downs and 2 point conversions. These plays are hardly ever run to keep them off tape. Hard to understand that 2 point play call as it's just a terrible call considering all factors.

Game was there for the taking and offense again faltered.
