At the risk of sounding like I am throwing water on people's talk of high expectations, in a conversation with Woodburycy a bit ago about our brutal first half of the schedule, I noticed something....
In Oklahoma's first five games....
Iowa State is Oklahoma's only real test until they play Texas the sixth game of the year. To the tune that we are essentially Oklahoma's only top-60 power rated team in their first five games. (At least based on last year's ratings.)
Ya think maybe Oklahoma just might circle the Iowa State game with an extra thick, blood red magic marker??????????
The revenge factor alone is enough. But we are potentially Oklahoma's only legit threat to being undefeated before they meet Texas in October.
(And its Oklahoma's only road game in that stretch.)
