Kind of thought he deserved his own thread after yesterday. While Lard (appropriately) got most of the accolades, what Talley did was key and was very glue-like:
1) gave us 23 solid minutes off the bench - 11 and 6 is a great stat line - and ZERO turnovers. That's huge.
2) He has the build and athleticism to defend in the Big 12 - and he did yesterday. His defensive abilities allow him to guard the 2, 3 or 4, and he can handle the pick and roll.
3) He found his offensive niche - if he sticks to it - get to the rim and hit the 10-12 foot jumper. Although he made one, he is not a 3-point guy - get to the rim and hit the mid range jumper, and that's huge.
He could be a tremendous piece off the bench for us. If the light truly went on yesterday and has has found (and accepts) his role, CSP will have him playing 20+ mins per game going forward. Really excited about what I saw from him yesterday.
