We brought back basically the entire Fiesta Bowl winning team and middled our way to 7 wins after a preseason Top 10 with talk of CFP dark horse.
Then last year’s 0 win conference season with a “Young, rebuilding” team which was always “just a hair off”.
Now we’re “young pups”, who just played the best game against EIU in his time at ISU against an average at best EIU.
Then his big smile and laugh at the Kirk handshake while Kirk looked pretty stone faced.
Then his postgame press conference.
For the first time ever, I’m questioning his desire to actually be a winning program and not just a place where he develops young men and the winning is far down the list of priorities.
Regardless of what he says, he obviously doesn’t get the rivalry and gives off the feeling that, yeah it’s important to the fans, however I don’t really care about it any more than playing Ohio.
Am I the only one thinking this way?
As always, I could be completely wrong, the scoreboard doesn’t lie.
