Thinking about our AD who many people, including me, think is doing a tremendous job of building the ISU brand across the country. His football coach hires have been Gene Chizik, Paul Rhoads, and Matt Campbell. Two misses and a win. His basketball hires have been Greg McDermott, Fred Hoiberg, and Steve Prohm. Again, two misses and a win. His wrestling hires have been Cael Sanderson, Kevin Jackson, and Kevin Dresser. 1 win, 1 loss, and 1 to be determined. Basically batting 333 for hires in 3 of the 4 major sports at ISU. Should we consider this a good track record? Or is this just an illustration of how hard it is to find good coaches? Too many thoughts to ponder on this wintery day. Go Cyclones!!
